When 12½ gauge wire is spliced together, three C23 crimp sleeves are used to maintain the full strength of the wire. At end posts and in-line tightener brackets, two C23 sleeves are normally used. When crimping the sleeve, put it into the tool slot marked 2-3 and compress it into a cylindrical shape. Do not split the sleeve into an 8 shape.
