Kencove is now selling the Filip's Folding Plate Meter in North America. This rising plate pasture meter uses 2 mechanical counters so there are no electronics to fail. The cost is about half that of the electronic FarmTracker plate meter. The meter is designed to quickly fold for transport.

The Jobe Valve has a design which has some self cleaning features in design. This prevents build up which would inhibit the flow. This feature puts the Jobe Valve ahead of the other water valve choices. Kencove stocks the valves in several types of mount positions.

Jobe Valves introduce the first real breakthrough in trough valve technology. By using the principle of Hydraulics and water pressure already present in line Mega Flow releases whatever volume is present until trough is full then closes in a matter of seconds. The revolutionary starting mechanism works on spring tension which overcomes the problem of obtrusive and inverted arms. The compact and robust design has incorporated a 20 to 60mm water level differential and with the ability to isolate the valve by a simple cord locking devise. Mega Flow is the first valve to be designed around high flow rates common in today's pumping and water reticulation schemes. Materials used are U.V. Stabilized A.B.S Plastic and non corrosive Stainless Steel.

Bi Polar
Mains energizers can be used in a bi polar fence system that works by sending two simultaneous pulses of energy down a multiple wire fence line, one pulse is negative in respect to the ground, the other positive in respect to the ground. In certain conditions, extremely dry soil, the bi polar system has a number of advantages over conventional fencing systems.

The new Cylcic Wave Technology produces absolutely minimal radio frequency interference, and exceeds all standards. No problem with interference to electrical appliances in the area and this allows more power on your fence line.

Voltage Indicator
The unique voltage indicator allows quick and easy conformation of the voltage being delivered to your fence. Red pulse lights will flash up to 3kV and then individual green pulse lights will flash to indicate the higher level of voltage to your fence. You can see at a glance the power going to your fence line. A separate power on light confirms the power is being supplied to the energizer.

Battery Saver
Stafix battery energizers incorporate all-new microprocessor technology which controls the power consumption from the battery. This patented technology allows the energizer to automatically adjust the power required from the battery depending on the fence condition. If the fence is lightly loaded then the energizer will only draw the minimum power it requires to maintain adequate fence voltage. As the load increases on the fence the energizer's microprocessor will automatically draw increased current from the battery to ensure the voltage is maintained at a high level on the fence. The feature extends battery life and allows for the most efficient solar panel system.

Solar Capability
All Stafix battery powered energizers are designed for use with solar panels. For more information refer to the Planning section in the Fence Manual.

FARM TRACKER

Rising Plate Meter

Farm Tracker is an intensive grazing tool - a rising plate meter. Farm Tracker offers farmers a method of checking the of amount grass or dry matter in a particular pasture or paddock. This allows the farmer to plan the intensive grazing schedule very accurately. You will be able to estimate exactly how long to graze a paddock to produce maximum results. Built in formulas simplify this process. Once you put the Farm Tracker readings into a spread-sheet, you can plot your results and print reports on your own farm's production. It features a digital screen which displays the pasture height, number of readings, or pasture cover. The unit features built in formulas for pasture cover and the ability to enter your own formula.

The digital readout clearly shows information on pasture readings. The Rising Plate Meter will take all your pasture readings and automatically average them as you go. You can set the mode to show the number of readings or the average height calculated. Once you have done all your readings, the amount of pasture cover can be calculated by using your computer spread-sheet. That can convert dry matter to American units and show seasonal trends with graphs.

Lightning Protection

Lightning Coke Coil and Arrestor Combination

This new design in lightning protection combines the two essential components of a lightning diverter. The coke coil is used to slow the surge of electrical energy by inductive forces created in the coil. At this point the arrestor comes into play. The pool of energy searching for the ground jumps the gap in the arrestor and finds the fastest route to the ground. This units arrestor features an adjustable gap. To use it properly set the gap to the smallest distance possible without the charger causing an arc in the gap by itself. To be effective the ground must be as good as the one on your charger. As always try to keep the unit as close as possible to the charger.
